Job Description
As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting clients in planning, organizing, and booking travel arrangements that meet their needs and preferences. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients, both in person and over the phone
- Understanding clients’ travel preferences and requirements to recommend suitable travel options
- Researching and booking flights, accommodations, and other travel services
- Handling booking amendments, cancellations, and refunds as necessary
- Keeping up-to-date with travel industry trends and best practices
- Resolving any issues or complaints from clients promptly and professionally
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a seamless travel booking experience for clients
Key Skills
- Previous experience in a similar role, minimum 5 years experience.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent business communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in using Galileo and other travel booking platforms
- Knowledge of domestic and international travel destinations, including travel regulations and requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required
Qualifications
- Certification in travel and tourism
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications
- Fluency in English and Kiswahili
